Trugs are Funny Things
Posted on:Yes, Trugs are funny things, inanimate but capable of creating a lot of emotion in folk. Take Dave who found an old Trug in his grand parents’ potting shed. He wrote to ask if it was one of ours and when it had been made, as there were no markings on the bottom of the Trug, except an indistinct number. It wasn’t one of ours, but possibly one of The Truggery’s and his grand parents had probably bought it in the 1970’s or 1980’s when on holiday in our area. It was in very good shape and Dave told me that it was of great sentimental value to him and that he will be looking after it for many years to come.
